The Michigan Laborers’ Scholarship Fund is pleased to announce the 2022-2023 Scholarship Program, which provides scholarships for the continued and further education of eligible individuals who have been admitted or are already enrolled as a student in an accredited post-secondary institution. Applications must be received by the fund office on or before May 1st, 2022 to receive full consideration.
In general, eligible individuals who may apply for a scholarship under the Scholarship Program are members in good standing of a Local Union affiliated with the Michigan Laborers’ District Council, their biological children, adopted children, stepchildren, a person for whom the member or spouse is or was named full legal guardian (other than a limited or temporary guardian), or survivors of deceased members who were members in good standing of a Local Union affiliated with the Michigan Laborers’ District Council at the time of their death. Survivors include all persons listed above. Eligible individuals must also have been admitted or be already enrolled in an accredited vocational school, technical school, or a two or four-year degree granting college or university accredited by the Board of Education.
